©Disney.Schedule has been pretty busy so Im posting a workbook series for now. This is the most tender moment and probably the longest sequence in Lilo & Stitch. I'll save the other half for next time. You may notice that some of the shots has been modified. Nani is bidding farewell to Lilo by singing "Aloha 'Oe". Originally, we have Cobra Bubbles pull up into the driveway. He saw this emotional moment and decided to leave to come back the next day. So here is the original workbook version that I did and it's easy to follow along with the story. Also posted is the rough layout for the establishing shot of the hammock.

Hey man. Amazing work as usual. I love the tonal passes on some of the panel as well. The top three are AMAZING man. You are such a talent.
I do have one question though. Okay, so you have established the staging in the boards, now you go ahead and do a rough layout to be used as reference, or is it a suggestion? Did you create the final BG or was it passed on to someone in the layout department, even though you are in that department . . .but doing the workbook sequence?

Hey Mark,
Rough layout (animation poses, bg drawing, camera mechanics) will be used as a reference by animator to begin with . When animation is completed, rough layout goes back to layout and whoever is available cleans it up (clean-up layout). Then clean-up layout will be the reference for both bg artist and scene planning (for camera). Hope this answer your question.
