This is a Disney short that was released in 1995 with the movie "A Kid in King Arthur's Court". The movie was forgettable but the short wasn't. It was the first Disney short with Mickey and Minnie in it on the big screen for many, many years. But what makes it unique is a "dark" Mickey doing a Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde character. Animation is very well executed and personally, I love watching well animated Mickey in 2D (because that's what it was originally designed for!). The short I believe was mainly done in Disney Paris FA studio with the help of the Florida crew. For those of you out there who haven't seen it for a long time ( like me ) or haven't seen it at all, here it is...

FANTASTIC !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:O)
awesome!! thanks for posting it!!!
That's great! I hadn't seen it before, so thanks a lot for sharing. Fun idea to put little Mickeys voice on a king kong sized monster and the animation is top notch!
Have a great day,
Hans
Glad that you guys were able to watch it before Disney pulled the plug from whoever posted it on YouTube. Hope they make it available on video someday.
It's a sad thing that awesome shorts as Lorenzo,Destino and so many others are so hard to,watch!
Cant't wait to see the little match girl and really hope that the animation comes to the audience in shortfilm form too , like in the 40's and 50's.
it seem like the animation festivals like amecy ... are only from animators to animators...
By the way....thaks to share all the stuff...the blog thing is the best thing since bread in slices
best Wishes from Spain
We did roughly 40 seconds on that short too to help out. But at that time Disney did not like crediting outside studios. We also animated, layed-out and painted one minute on 'Lion King-Circle of Life' and didn't get a credit either.
Marcos gp,
I agree.
Uli,
So sad that these thing(s) happened especially during the Disney heydays. But hopefully things will change now for the better in that studio and credit will be given to whom credit is due. But we will always know "who does it" and does it WELL. Take care.
I want the Video Digital Style
I dunt care as long as the resolution is at least 600x400
This is one of the best Mickey shorts!!
Unfortunately, there seems to be mixed feelings about this cartoon at Disney. In part because of it's commercial results.
Personaly, I think this cartoon has many qualities Disney should consider in future productions!
