I used the lasso tool just to set the basic shape and placement of the water on the foreground. Then detailed edges were added almost towards the end by freehand. Thanks.
This looks very nice Armand! Bold shapes and atmosphere, beautifully handled. I love the way you always add some small and cute detail, this time it's the lightnings on the side ;)

It's beautiful. So very different then what you'd expect to get if you asked someone to "draw an eruption".
Instead of just a close up of glowing orange lava spewing we get to see the lush, green terrain that's about to be transformed forever.
